Workshops and Retreats

At Harriet’s Wildseed, we support the healing, restoration, and empowerment of communities through trauma-informed workshops and retreats that integrate Afro-Indigenous wisdom with somatic and clinical practices. Our offerings are centered in nervous system regulation and collective care, bringing together land-based learning, embodied storytelling, and experiential practices to support healing across individual, relational, and community levels. Each experience is held with intention, cultural integrity, and the understanding that healing is not meant to happen in isolation—it is cultivated through connection, practice, and shared experience.

The Seeding Workshop Series

Planting practices for embodied healing, ancestral remembrance, and collective liberation

The Seeding Series offers intentional, experiential gatherings rooted in somatic healing and an Afro-Indigenous, nature-based lens. Each workshop invites participants to slow down, listen inward, and explore how trauma, grief, chronic stress, and inherited survival patterns live within our bodies, relationships, and communities.

Through guided embodiment, movement, breathwork, storytelling, creative ritual, plant and land-based teachings, and facilitated reflection, participants are supported in deepening self-trust, reconnecting with ancestral and communal wisdom, and practicing more liberated ways of tending to themselves and one another.

These workshops center:

- nervous system education & regulation through an ancestral and cultural lens - increasing body awareness & connection to internal resources

- exploration of the inner child, present self, & inner elder as pathways for integration

- community-based healing through storytelling, ritual, & guided reflection.

The Seeding Series builds practical skills for emotional regulation and resilience while creating a foundation for ongoing personal and community healing.

Homecoming Retreat Series

Homecoming is an invitation to return to yourself—to the parts of you that may have been silenced, scattered, guarded, or set aside in order to survive. Rooted in somatic healing, Afro-Indigenous ways of knowing, and reciprocal relationship with the natural world, these immersive retreats create space to step outside the urgency of everyday life and remember who you are beneath the roles you carry, the demands placed upon you, and the ways you have learned to endure. While the Seeding Workshops introduce practices for embodied and collective healing, Homecoming gives those seeds time, space, and soil. Each retreat is structured enough for participants to feel held and spacious enough for their own inner wisdom to emerge. The body, land, Spirit, and community become companions along the journey home.

 â€‹Retreat elements may include:

- guided somatic & mindfulness-based practices

-plant medicine & land-based teachings

-facilitated reflection & group processing

-breathwork & nervous system regulation practices

-storytelling, creativity, & intentional rest.

Participants leave with practical tools and embodied experiences that support continued healing within their daily lives.
