Service Description

At Harriet’s Wildseed, we support the healing, restoration, and empowerment of communities through trauma-informed workshops and retreats that integrate Afro-Indigenous wisdom with somatic and clinical practices. Our offerings are centered in nervous system regulation and collective care, bringing together land-based learning, embodied storytelling, and experiential practices to support healing across individual, relational, and community levels. Each experience is held with intention, cultural integrity, and the understanding that healing is not meant to happen in isolation—it is cultivated through connection, practice, and shared experience. a) The Seeding Workshop Series Cultivating foundations for personal and collective healing The Seeding Series invites participants into structured, experiential learning that integrates psychoeducation, somatic awareness, and Afro-Indigenous healing practices. Through movement, breathwork, nature connection, plant medicine teachings, and facilitated dialogue, participants are supported in understanding and responding to the impacts of trauma, grief, and chronic stress. These workshops center: - nervous system education & regulation through an ancestral and cultural lens - increasing body awareness & connection to internal resources - exploration of the inner child, present self, & inner elder as pathways for integration - community-based healing through storytelling, ritual, & guided reflection. The Seeding Series builds practical skills for emotional regulation and resilience while creating a foundation for ongoing personal and community healing. b) The Canopy Retreat Series Deepening regulation, restoration, and collective healing The Canopy Retreat Series expands on the foundations of the Seeding workshops, offering immersive, trauma-informed experiences designed to deepen nervous system regulation, rest, and relational connection. These retreats provide a structured yet spacious environment for participants to integrate learning, reconnect with the body, and access restoration within a supportive community setting. Retreat elements may include: -guided somatic & mindfulness-based practices -plant medicine & land-based teachings -facilitated reflection & group processing -breathwork & nervous system regulation practices -storytelling, creativity, & intentional rest Participants leave with practical tools and embodied experiences that support continued healing within their daily lives.
