Workshops & Retreats
Ceremonial workshops and retreats for nervous system healing and restorative community care.
Service Description
At Harriet’s Wildseed, we support the healing, restoration, and empowerment of communities through workshops and retreats shaped by Afro-Indigenous wisdom, somatic practices, and ancestral connection. Our offerings weave together land-based learning, nervous-system awareness, community ritual, and embodied storytelling to nurture both individual transformation and collective liberation. Each experience is held with intention, cultural integrity, and the understanding that healing is not meant to happen alone, it is grown, tended, and shared. a) The Seeding Workshop Series Cultivating roots for personal and collective healing the Seeding series invites participants into embodied, experiential learning rooted in Afro-Indigenous healing traditions. Through movement, breathwork, somatic awareness, nature connection, plant medicine teachings, and facilitated community dialogue, participants explore new pathways for tending to grief, trauma, and resilience. These workshops center: • nervous system education through an ancestral lens • reconnection with land, lineage, and embodied wisdom • practices that nurture inner child, present self, and inner elder • community-based healing rooted in story, ritual, and play The Seeding series creates fertile ground for personal transformation while strengthening the roots of community healing. b) The Canopy Retreat Series Where healing expands, rest deepens, and community grows the Canopy retreat series builds upon the foundations established in the Seeding workshops, offering an immersive, land-based healing experience. These retreats deepen participants’ connection to nature, community, and their own inner wisdom. Retreat elements may include: • group rituals and sensory-based ceremonies • sound healing and ancestral practices • guided reflections and nature immersion • collective healing circles • somatic regulation and breathwork • storytelling, creativity, and rest The Canopy retreats create a sanctuary for renewal, a place where participants can exhale, reconnect with Spirit, and access expansive healing. This container supports not only personal restoration but also equips participants with tools to carry healing practices back into their families, communities, and ancestral lines.
